To enhance the company’s emergency response capability for hazardous chemicals and reinforce workplace safety defenses, IGSR recently conducted an unscripted emergency drill simulating a root valve leak at its acrylonitrile tank farm.
At the start of this drill, the on-duty operator immediately detected the leak and reported it, while quickly putting on protective gear, decisively shutting off relevant valves, setting up on-site barricades, and carrying out initial containment measures. Upon receiving the dispatch order, the company's compulsory fire ream rapidly assembled, donned professional protective equipment in accordance with protocols, and ran to the scene. The team members worked in a coordinated manner, using water mist to dilute and reduce toxicity and block gas dispersion, while applying specialized tools to precisely seal the leak. The entire process was carried out with strict adherence to procedures and seamless teamwork, efficiently completing leak containment and on-site decontamination, thereby successfully eliminating the safety hazard.
This drill was entirely unscripted, authentically simulating the handling process of an unexpected incident. It effectively tested the rapid response of on-duty personnel and the emergency response and coordinated combat capabilities of the compulsory fire ream, while also accumulating valuable experience for further improving emergency response procedures and better managing similar sudden incidents. Going forward, the Company will continue to hold regular, realistic emergency drills to continuously enhance the emergency response capabilities of all employees and fully ensure the safe and stable operation of production.
